Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Rebecca is an associate veterinarian at City Park Vet and has been a critical member of the team since our early days in 2021. Dr. Rebecca was born and raised in Saskatchewan and attended both the University of Regina and University of Saskatoon before obtaining her degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2018. Dr. Rebecca spent a year in the warm climate of Florida while she completed a rotating internship in medicine and surgery before returning to Saskatoon. For the last two years she was working at the Veterinary Medical Centre as an emergency clinician before deciding she was ready for a new adventure in June of 2021. Dr. Rebecca has had some unique experience in her years in practice and is ready to bring those skills to City Park Vet. Dr. Rebecca has a special interest in urgent care and point of care ultrasound. When she is not in the clinic Dr. Rebecca enjoys spending time with her dog, Ricotta, and cats Gouda and Cheddar. Dr. Rebecca loves summer in the city the most as it provides new places to explore walking the dog, paddle boarding, camping and days on the beach. If she is not outside you can find Dr. Rebecca on a spin bike most days of the week! Dr. Rebecca loves working in the beautiful City Park neighbourhood and connecting with our lovely clients!
Dr. Katelyn McIntyre

Dr. Katelyn McIntyre

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. McIntyre grew up in Langley, BC and is a second-generation veterinarian. Some of her earliest memories are of watching her dad perform caesarean sections on bulldogs and helping to revive the puppies. At 16, she started working for the “family business” as a kennel attendant, receptionist and eventually as her dad’s Saturday assistant, experience which gives her an appreciation for all members of the veterinary team.

Dr. McIntyre moved to Saskatchewan to finish her undergraduate degree and fell in love with the province and her husband. She graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014 and spent her first year in mixed animal practice before moving to the Regina area where she worked as an associate at a small animal clinic and as a veterinary locum.

In September 2024, a position at the Veterinary Medical Center provided the perfect opportunity (excuse) to move back to Saskatoon. Dr. McIntyre and her husband, Joe, packed up their 2 children, 3 dogs, 1 horse, 1 pony, 2 miniature donkeys, chickens, fish and A LOT of acreage stuff, and made the trip “home”.

They are in the process of building a house on 5 acres (next door to Dr. Leo & Pete!) and are looking forward to getting a start on what’s sure to be a never-ending list of projects.
